The Young
Geezers repertoire includes a mix of folk, bluegrass, old-timey
gospel, blues, Texas swing, and even the occasional sea chantey. The group
covers work by songwriters and artists ranging from Woody Guthrie to Stephen
Foster, Doc Watson to the Monroe Brothers, John Prine to Nanci Griffith, and
Townes Van Zandt to The Band … among others. (A repertoire list is available
– just email us if you'd like one.) When asked what informs their eclectic
selection of musical offerings, they have been heard to admit, “We are not
easily embarrassed.”
